Geoff Trapani, President
As President of Ontario Professional Firefighters Local 1430, I am honored to represent our members and highlight our dedication to community outreach, charity, and hard work.
We believe a strong community is built on trust, engagement, and education. Through programs like Stop the Bleed, Hands-Only CPR, and drowning prevention, we aim to prevent emergencies before they happen.
Our 501(c)(3), the Ontario Professional Firefighters Foundation, ensures 100% of donated funds stay in Ontario or help fire families in need. Annual events like our golf tournament and Stuff the Bus raise over $100,000 thanks to our members and your support.
We train relentlessly to protect Ontario’s citizens while also advocating for fair wages, safety, and resources for our firefighters. Partnering with city leadership, we remain committed to public service and community well-being.
Thank you for your trust and support!
Sincerely,
President, Ontario Professional Firefighters Association

⚾🔥 Thank you to Chino Valley Firefighters for the friendly fire last week and to our community for aiding our foundation with the funds we need to protect our members and community.
While we had a ton of fun with all the field camaraderie, one of our favorite parts was experiencing the CVFD and OFD Pipes and Drums collab performance. 🥁💥

As firefighters, we routinely encounter individuals experiencing homelessness during emergency responses—whether it’s during structure fires, medical calls, or extreme weather events.
Understanding who’s unhoused in our city helps agencies like Ontario’s Housing Services Department secure resources and plan for a safer, more resilient community. This year’s Point-in-Time Count will be held at Anthony Muñoz Community Center (1240 W. 4th St., Ontario, CA 91762) on Jan. 22nd. 📍
This annual effort captures a snapshot of homelessness in our city and across San Bernardino County and relies on local volunteers to conduct a structured survey. Must be 18+ to volunteer. Sign up at: ontarioca.gov/1morning
