As the President of the Ontario Professional Firefighters Local 1430, I am honored to represent our members and shed light on our commitment to community outreach, charity events, and good old-fashioned hard work. Our union of firefighters is dedicated to serving and protecting the citizens of Ontario with unwavering, commitment and passion.

First and foremost, our emphasis on community outreach stems from our belief that a strong community is built on the foundaFon of trust, communication, and collaboration. By actively engaging with the community through events, educational programs, and charity initiatives, we aim to foster a sense of unity and camaraderie among the residents of Ontario. Our goal is to not only respond to emergencies but also to prevent them through proactive outreach efforts. Stop The Bleed, Hands-Only CPR and our drowning prevention program are just a few examples of our members giving first-hand education to YOU!

Additionally, our dedication to hosting charity events is a reflection of our commitment to giving back to the community that we serve. By organizing fundraisers, donation drives, and volunteer opportunities, we strive to support local charities and organizations that are in need of assistance. Our union of firefighters understands the importance of being active participants in the betterment of our community and we are proud to lend a helping hand whenever possible. Our 501c3, the Ontario Professional Firefighters Foundation, prides itself on keeping 100% of donated funds in the City of Ontario or to other fire families in need across the country. This foundation generally raises $100,000 through our annual golf tournament, St PaUy’s Day event, SeaUle Stair Climb, Route 66, and Stuff the Bus. These contributions could not happen without our members’ planning, but would never be possible without YOU!

Furthermore, our emphasis on working hard is a core value that drives everything we do as union firefighters. We are constantly training, honing our skills, and staying updated on the latest firefighting techniques to ensure that we are prepared for any situation that may arise.Our work ethic is a reflection of our dedication to protecting the lives and property of the citizens of Ontario, and we do not take this responsibility lightly.

As union firefighters, we also prioritize the protection of our member’s rights and well-being. We advocate for fair wages, safe working conditions, and access to necessary resources to ensure that our firefighters can perform their duties effectively and efficiently. Our union serves as a voice for our members, advocating for their rights and working towards creating a work environment that is conducive to their success and well-being.
